This caramel mud cake was made for a friend's father who loves his soccer and Sydney FC. This was a lot harder to make then I thought it would be, lining up the hexagon's on the cake was quite tricky. But I'm pretty happy with the outcome, I thought the logo came out really well and loved using my new airbrush to add some shine to the ball.

This week I had the pleasure of making the birthday cake for a friends son's 5th birthday. Josh was having a magic themed party, complete with a real magician so I decided to stick with the theme and create a cake with magicians hat, rabbit and wand. The base cake was chocolate mud cake, the hat was butter cake and there was also some buttercake cupcakes I made with the leftover mix. The actual day was sweltering hot but the cake handled it well and the party was great fun.

This birthday cake was made for Maddy, who turned 13 on Christmas day. Instead of the usual Christmas cake, they always have a birthday cake for Maddy and this year was no exception.
The cake was a lighter version of the cherry ripe mud cake and I was quite pleased with both the taste and the overall cake - especially as I had never made ballet shoes before.
