Chocolate Mudcake designed to look like a pizza for a pair of our friends that love pizza. I thought it looked pretty realistic, until you cut it open and were faced with a huge chunk of chocolate mud cake!
Made for a "Back to our childhood" morning tea at work. The morning tea also included such childhood gems as chocolate crackles, honey joys and fairy bread!
Buttercake with strawberry jam and cream filling. The butterfly was was handmade using fondant.
This cake is for a male's 21st Birthday. The criteria was that it had to include either a Jack of Spades or Jack of Clubs and red & black poker chips with the number 21 on them. All the cards are made out of icing and are decorated with modelling icing and an edible ink pen. I drew the Jack freehand by looking at a pack of cards I had at home.
This cake was made for a friends 21st. It was a 3 tier cake made with turkish delight mud cake, cherry ripe mud cake and white chocolate mud cake. This was the first tier "mad hatter style" cake I had attempted and I was glad I gave myself plenty of time to work on this one as it was deceptively difficult. But the end result was worth it, and it was great to attend Ash's party and hear everyone's great comments about it. Happy Birthday Ash!
This cake was ordered by Debbie's husband for her birthday. The cake was made to look like a Tiffany jewelery box and the lucky birthday girl not only got cake, but also a Tiffany's bracelet to go with it!
This was a 2 tier wedding cake for Tania & Gareth who were married last weekend. The top tier was chocolate mud cake and the bottom tier was white chocolate mud. The decorations were all hand made with icing.
An easter cake for work morning tea and a easter themed dual birthday cake for a work colleague's daughters.
This order was for Melissa and Phil's engagement. They couldn't decide on flavours so they has a 12" white chocolate mudcake, 20 dark choc-mint cupcakes and 20 dark cherryripe cupcakes. I used a chocolate ganache buttercream on the cupcakes, topped with fondant and decorations. I really enjoyed the challenge of making so many different cupcakes and think the overall effect looks pretty cool, although I may be a bit bias!
